hey everybody, as you can see in my sig, i have an ipod touch 4th gen, 32gb
picked it up from costco a couple weeks ago.
but, im waiting until i open it to get a case.
now i want to get a clear-coat full body thing to go with it because i hate thhe little scratches taht come on the back of ipod touches
so i need a case which will fit with the ipod touch clear coat on it, and isn't too expensive.
the .99 ones from ebay aren't an option because my dads paypal got suspended... sigh...

So I know what SMP is but what is MIP? Similar thing?
MIPs is Million Instructions Per Second which is an old performance measure of for mainframes.
and I think there used to be a company called MIP.

Yes. But remember once you do that you will not be able to modify the project if later you want to change the exported file - you will have to start all over.Ah yes, thanks. Maybe I will keep the projects but delete the events.

Traditional values? Like bigotry, demonizing, beatings, lynchings? Some traditions have little value.
40 years ago, these "traditional values" politicians would be wearing white sheets and burning crosses. We've made some real progress since then, but this is just a reminder that we still have a long way to go.

I got a refurb for my then 20 month old 3Gs about 3 weeks ago. It's a 5K.
It looks and feels new (nice to havea FRESH oleophobic screen!), but is slower than molasses with 4.3.2 (mine had 4.3.1 or 4.3) and the bluetooth is very hard to connect to my horseless carriage whereas the old one connected fine. If I like and get the iPhone 5 this fall, no biggie, but if I do not like it and hand another year with the 3Gs I may be an unhappy camper.

There are issues in all product lines. I got a screen with a little uneven backlight, but apple handled it perfectly. They even sent me a new one before demanding the first one back (now I have two in my room). Don't worry about things before you have to, cause chances are you'll probably be fine. :) At least eventually!

Click Finder > Preferences when you are not in any program but Finder (just click on your desktop) and click on the check box next to "Network" on the "sidebar" pane. :)

try to reinstall your win7 and the bootcamp drives..
if that's still not working bring it to the genius, cuz mine needs less than 1 minute to wake up from sleep (win7), and about 2mins to startup for win7 i guess.. :D

I don't understand the need for the security.
Well if any application could send anything to any other applications your asking for viruses crashing and all sorts of issues. You need to have them sandboxed to some extend and have meditation for what can communicate. To get around this you use the network but the address 127.0.0.1.

Maybe I misunderstood the question. Of course a modal view will slide in from the bottom and slide off. But a modal view will cover the entire screen. If you want a transparent background or you want a view that only partly covers the screen you need to do it like I described. If you just want a view to slide on and cover the screen then use a modal view.
@misterGreen, in order to do this like I describe you don't present the sliding view from viewDidLoad. You present it in response to another message that the view controller provides and calls whenever it needs to present the picker. I think your Slider class is meant to be a UIView subclass.

No, the BBC story said that he was hit in the head by either the passenger or the door of the overhead compartment.
I don't care about the swearing over the intercom or even taking a beer, it's him thinking that he had the right to use the emergency slide to get out of this situation! If BA's cabin crews demands are based on the fact they are there for the safety of their passengers, what the hell is he there for?! He put the safety of passengers in danger, possibly whatever ground crew in the area and probably caused delays. Why didn't he just walk away from this man, go sob in a toilet or the galley? Yes the passenger was probably obnoxious, but doing that is completely out of line and I think he deserves to at least lose his job over this.
He was arrested. Probably won't do time but there will be a fine and in doing this, he essentially quit his job.

Anyone here going to grab a sealed ipad 16gb model to keep as a collectors item? 10-20 years from now, I have no doubts it will be worth much more then its current asking price.
No, already spent the money on a sealed original Mac Mini... ;)
(had an Apple Store coupon for $30 off over $300, so I used it on that - back when they gave out that sort of thing... $469 :D)

It's one of the coolest site I've ever seen. Nevertheless the navigation part is not so practical. I wonder how it would be with the pen-based mouse. Anyway, it's Leo Burnet's.

Thanks for responding to my devil's advocacy. How things tend to work around here is that any ideas like this get batted around out here, perhaps discussed amongst mods and admins... and if they pass muster, then added to the list of things to do. Some of these things can take months or even years to even reappear in some form.
Personally, I'm not sure that this idea will be given much priority, but that's just a hunch based on previous experience as I have no say in this process. Saying that, it would also certainly generate an interesting amount of data for those who like stats and graphs as well.

I have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen, I accidentally upgraded to iOS 4.x, now I just want to knock my head to wall, so is there anyway I can downgrade it to version 3.x? Jailbreak is acceptable if it is the only method. Also, I am using a Mac.
I tried the standard way, shut down my iPod Touch and start in DFU mode, than press alt + recover, select firmware file but it told me "not eligible for requested build", I tried from 2.x to 3.x firmwares.
Thanks in advance.
